How much does a bike service cost in Sydney?
At Brad’s Bikes, a full bike service starts from $280 (excluding parts). A bike check starts from $170. Labour for specific bike repairs is $110 per hour. All pricing is quoted upfront after assessment — we never add charges without calling you first.
How often should I get my bike serviced?
We recommend a full bike service every 6–12 months, depending on how often and hard you ride. If you’re commuting daily or doing regular long rides, lean toward 6 months. Bikes that sit unused for extended periods also benefit from a service before getting back on the road.
What does a complete bike service include?
Our full bike service covers everything: we remove, clean and inspect all components including gears, brakes, headset, bottom bracket, hubs, wheels, cables and the drivetrain. At pickup, the mechanic who worked on your bike walks you through everything that was done and flags anything to watch for next time.
Should I do my own bike repairs?
Basic maintenance like cleaning your chain and checking tyre pressure is great to do yourself. But for anything involving torque specs, bearing preload, hydraulic brakes or electronic systems, we strongly recommend a professional. Modern bikes use materials and tolerances that are unforgiving of mistakes — and the cost of getting it wrong is usually higher than a proper service.
